OURewards (www.ourewards.com), the online platform that enables organizations to earn money through everyday buying, has announced the release of its new “Online Mall”. This easy-to-use, client-branded shopping space has launched just in time for Cyber Monday 2011, and features more than 200 stores, including top-tier retailers such as Amazon, Target, Wal-Mart, iTunes, and Macy’s.

“Finally, any organization, using the enthusiasm of their supporters, can earn money through normal everyday shopping,” says John Lane, CMO of OURewards. “A percentage of each sale goes to the organization, and with Cyber Monday 2011 being the kick-off of the largest online buying season in history, our clients have a special opportunity to get phenomenal financial benefit --- without costing their supporters an extra cent.”

These client-branded online malls enable supporters -- along with their family and friends -- a quick and easy way to buy any item that is available online, with a percentage of those sales flowing to an organization they support. More than 50 groups of all sizes from across the U.S. have signed up with OURewards during the pilot phase.

“OURewards has been a really easy way for us to make money -- we’re looking forward to the earnings we’ll get starting Cyber Monday and on through the holidays,” says Kristy Rose, President of the Bandwagon (Parent Organization) of Sunrise Mountain High School (AZ) Music Dept. “People are always going to shop online, so having our own mall for them is wonderful. Our supporters, and the people they invite through sharing, now have the power to help us in a simple, everyday way.”

Cyber Monday, three days after the Thanksgiving holiday’s Black Friday, has brought in record numbers of online sales. In 2010, comScore reported the first-ever $1 billion online shopping day ($1028M), an increase of 16 percent from the prior year. Lane notes that because of the sheer volume of buying that is going to occur, OURewards clients will be making a special effort to remind and encourage their supporters about this great opportunity to help.

“It’s really a no-brainer for both organizations and their supporters,” Lane says. “For example, can you imagine every group of high school boosters having their own branded shopping mall earning money for the arts, sports, and other much-needed youth activities? It would be tremendous. The reality is simple: the shopping that occurs on Cyber Monday – and any other day – can do a world of good.”
