Porsche of Nashua Welcomes New Porsche Macan with May 16 Launch Party

As one of the fastest-growing vehicle segments, the compact-SUV class may be getting crowded, but buyers won't find a faster model than the new 2015 Porsche Macan arriving this week at New Hampshire Porsche dealer Porsche of Nashua. In honor of Porsche's fifth model line and its smaller companion to the Porsche Cayenne midsize SUV, Porsche of Nashua offered RSVPs online for its Macan Launch Party this Friday, May 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and spots quickly ran out for the opportunity to catch an early look at the "sports car of the compact-SUV segment."

The base 2015 Porsche Macan S houses a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 340 horsepower, allowing the sporty compact SUV to go from a standstill to 60 mph in five seconds flat. For the most dedicated performance junkies, the 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo ups the ante to 400 horsepower with its 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6, cutting the 0 to 60 mph time down to just 4.4 seconds.

"Other luxury automakers have put high-powered engines into their compact SUVs, but to truly get a sports-car feel, you need precise engineering throughout the vehicle so that it can handle all that output, and Porsche has done that with the new Macan," said Larry Bedell, general manager of Porsche of Nashua. "At the same time, buyers of the Porsche Macan will still be getting all the usual benefits of a compact SUV and then some, including a versatile interior, better visibility and excellent off-road capability."

The off-road prowess of the 2015 Porsche Macan is boosted by its Porsche Traction Management active all-wheel-drive system and an OFF-ROAD mode that adjusts all applicable drive systems to tackle bumpy terrain, including an optional air suspension that can increase ride height. Meanwhile, the 40/20/40-split rear seats can be folded flat to open up 53 cubic feet of cargo space for gear. Convenience inside the cabin extends to an available Porsche Communication Management seven-inch touchscreen that can safely connect smartphone users to Internet radio, social media, weather information and point-of-interest searches through the Aha Radio app.
