Chief Executive Officer Lisa Calkins of technology solutions company Amadeus Consulting won the Denver Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business Award. Calkins was selected out of nearly 140 nominees overall, chosen for the technology and telecommunications category.
Twelve women were honored for their accomplishments in various industry categories. Lisa was judged on her innovation, entrepreneurship, professional accomplishments and community leadership. Spending more than 30 percent of her time mentoring fellow employees and business leaders in the Boulder business area, Lisa utilizes her natural female characteristics of nurturing and compassion to lead with love in her business and the community overall.

Lisa’s oversight on milestone projects, including the community bike sharing program B-Cycle and CHaRM, a medical e-checklist system, showcased her innovative style of leadership to Denver Business Journal judges. She was also recognized as a forward-thinking leader as she played a key role in launching Amadeus Consulting’s digital marketing and talent recruitment branches to satisfy business’ increased need for those services.
Lisa was recognized as a winner on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Outstanding Women in Business Awards Luncheon and Expo event at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Denver Convention Center.
