Peekabuy, Inc., the developers of StyleIt (the only app on the market that can create 10 chic & stylish outfits based on one photo the user uploads to the app) today announced the ability for users to now purchase items from the styled looks. StyleIt has already curated more than 1.5 million outfits for its users, stylish women and girls around the globe who will appreciate the added option to directly purchasing suggested items.
This free update arrives just in time for all of those holiday party and New Year’s Eve celebrations on the horizon for savvy, fashion conscious shoppers and style mavens. The StyleIt app will be offered for iPhone and iPod touch.
Launched this past spring, StyleIt uses a unique formula for outfit creation based on over 12 years of computer research that analyzes data across multiple sources. Peekabuy was founded by Henry Kang in 2013 to solve the problem his wife Shawna brought to him: “What can I wear with this?” Henry, who has a PhD in Robotics and Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, assembled a team of engineers and fashionistas to tackle this problem. The team has over 30 years’ experience in machine learning. Over half of the team have earned their PhDs from the Computer Science program at Carnegie Mellon and bring in previous experience from Google, Microsoft Research, Conviva, Opera Mobile.
