Revenue Chat’s Tony DUrso Plans Christmas Eve Breakfast

Tony DUrso, prominent host of the weekly podcast series Revenue Chat, is planning to give back to some of the neediest residents of his hometown of Anaheim. With the help of several other friends and organizations, DUrso is organizing an event, “Breakfast with Our Neighbors,” set for Saturday, Dec. 24, from 9-11 a.m.

“This event is designed to bring attention to a growing problem right here in our own backyard,” stated DUrso. “The Santa Ana River Trail has become a flashpoint for homelessness, and it needs to be addressed. We hope our small gesture of goodwill will lead to addressing a more suitable solution for some of the most vulnerable in our community. Nobody should have to live like this.”

Charitable goodwill is nothing new to DUrso. During the holiday season, DUrso typically purchases toys to pass out to children in homeless shelters and hospitals. But this year, he has something even bigger in mind. With approximately 500 people living in temporary shelters between Orangewood and Chapman Avenues, the homeless issue is playing out right in the shadows of the Big A, Anaheim Angels baseball stadium.

During the Breakfast with Our Neighbors event, DUrso – aided by local volunteers from Thrivent’s Action Team and Passion, a group dedicated to homelessness issues, will be providing food, drinks, hot coffee, clothing and blankets. In the lead up to the Christmas Eve event, DUrso is looking for additional pledged support and volunteers. Interested parties may get involved by contacting Tony DUrso directly or sending a PayPal donation to: [email protected].

“Anaheim is our community, and we need to make a decision about what kind of stewards we intend to be,” DUrso noted. “This is an ambitious attempt that began with just one man’s decision. What would be possible if we all took on a similar initiative to help?”
