The North Carolina Consumers Council (NCCC), a nonprofit organization promoting consumer education, consumer awareness and consumer protection in North Carolina since 1968, is very excited to welcome Carolina Federal Credit Union (CFCU) as its newest credit union partner.

Carolina Federal joins NCCC’s existing credit union partners, Coastal Federal Credit Union, Members Credit Union, Premier Federal Credit Union and Lorillard Federal Credit Union. NCCC members are eligible to join and apply for accounts and loan products, as well as take advantage of an extensive range of other financial services that each of these credit unions has to offer.

“The North Carolina Consumers Council is thrilled to welcome Carolina Federal Credit Union to the NCCC family!” said NCCC President Sandra Bullock. “As our newest credit union partner, Carolina Federal will help us further our commitment to promoting the benefits of credit union services and make these superior services available to as many consumers as possible. This new affiliation will also give NCCC to opportunity to reach, educate and assist an even greater number of consumers across the great state of North Carolina.”

Bullock also points out that, as a credit union, Carolina Federal is a member-owned non-profit cooperative. So unlike traditional banks, any money that CFCU makes goes right back into the credit union in the form of lower fees, better rates, and a greater selection of exceptional financial services and benefits for its members.

Headquartered in Cherryville, NC, Carolina Federal Credit Union has been a trusted financial organization since it was federally chartered in 1969 to serve Carolina Freight Employees. According to their website, Carolina Federal is “dedicated to satisfying the needs of our members while offering a wide range of financial products and convenient services in a financially sound manner.” CFCU is also “committed to serving our members and to the credit union philosophy of Not For Profit, Not For Charity, But For Service.”

Consumers can apply for membership at Carolina Federal Credit Union or any other NCCC-affiliated credit union location at any time. For anyone needing eligibility, joining NCCC can give you that eligibility instantly. Contact any NCCC credit union partner for more information on your membership options.

If you are a representative of a credit union and would like to inquire about becoming a partner with the North Carolina Consumers Council, feel free to contact NCCC at any time for further information.
