Bloodleaf Studios, LLC, is a recently formed video game and software company which will specialize in video game development, software development and technology consulting services.

Bloodleaf Studios, owned by University of Advancing Technology (UAT) students Jacob Lanthier and Jeff Sandefur along with Art Institute graduate David Houser, expects the company formation to help create jobs in Surprise, AZ, over the next few months. The 13 Bloodleaf team members will be transitioning from disparate office locations to a more centralized, permanent location.

The company’s owners are currently in active talks with several business accelerators and incubators in order to jumpstart the company’s growth, and have their first technology development contract with a Washington state based SaaS corporation.

Bloodleaf’s video game team is also working on multiple exciting projects, which will be the genesis of their commercially desirous video game portfolio. Theseus: First Flight has been released for the Android platform and is available free from Google Play (from this link http://bit.ly/tfirstflight). Their next release-to-market game, The Theseus Effect, has been in development for several months and will be released by Q1, 2014. (Development updates can be found at the following link: http://bit.ly/theseuseffect). The game will be shown to the public this weekend at the Phoenix Art Museum, in conjunction with the University of Advancing Technology, and at the Art of Videogames exhibit the weekend of August, 23rd. A previous version of The Theseus Effect was shown at this past Phoenix Comicon in May.

The studio has currently begun a campaign via the crowdfunding website GoFundMe.com in an effort to help offset their initial costs. Money from this campaign will be going towards their costs in purchasing hardware and software.
