Starring Jan Broberg ("Maniac," "Everwood") as Rhonda Porter and introducing Jonathan Looper, who portrays her son Clifton, the film tells the true story of the young man who left the Air Force to help take care of his mother undergoing cancer treatment. Back in the civilian world he decided to return to college and shortly thereafter began experiencing symptoms of schizophrenia. In the film, we see how those symptoms cause him to be alienated and his relationships with friends and family to crumble when that support system is needed the most.

The short film was an official selection of the New York-Los Angeles International Film Festival and is now available online at www.lightwoundsmovie.com. The feature film is currently in pre-production and principal casting is underway.
