Myrtle Beach, SC, 08/18/2021 / SubmitMyPR /

Myrtle Beach arcade and pinball fans have exciting news! Across the street from the Jerry Pinkas Real Estate office at 607 N. 27th Ave in Myrtle Beach, sits a small museum of fully playable machines. This is a place where the public can not only see them but actually PLAY all their old favorites. If one is on a budget and looking for affordable fun things to do, this is a nostalgic must-see! Jerry Pinkas has set up a way for the individuals to have fun AND to give back to their local community.

Pinkas says, "It’s all about the love of the game of pinball and kids charities". Over the past 4 years, Jerry Pinkas Real Estate Team has donated both time and money through the museum.

Staffed 100% by volunteers with no salaries. The Myrtle Beach Pinball Museum is a slice of American pop culture and history, featuring playable classic pinball machines. Guests get to take an awesome journey back to the 80’s and 90’s and get instantly transported back to their childhood with this retro arcade experience.

Regarding its start, Pinkas says "years ago we brought a pinball machine into our real estate sales office. We wanted something that could entertain the kids, while parents talked with our Realtors. Then we added another, then another, then they started coming home, and into a warehouse. We gathered quite a collection and knew we had to do something so that the public could actually enjoy them too." Jerry and his wife Sheila established a not-for-profit corporation in 2016 to further this cause.

Excess revenues are donated to children’s charities and support the SOS Health Care Summer Autism Camp, St Jude's Children’s Hospital and Make-A-Wish.

Kids who grew up in the 1960's, 70's and 80's remember playing and enjoying Pinball! It’s an integral part of the American culture, and is now shared and preserved for future generations to enjoy. Amazingly this museum was voted best arcade in Myrtle Beach, SC by TripAdvisor. The all-you-can-play arcade featuring 25+ pinball machines is a hit with all ages.

Years ago there were thousands of machines out in public for people to play. Now it's rare to even see even one pinball machine in public. Many of the old arcade games sit in someone's warehouse or garage, broken and not working. This museum features a place where a person can remember the simpler days.

Guests can purchase an admission ticket on the museum website, with a specific date and time slot available. Once a person purchases an admission ticket, he gets to play as much as he can for a full hour!

It is located close to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and only 4 blocks from the ocean at 607 N 27th Ave Myrtle Beach SC 29577.

Pinkas says "some children have unique struggles and this is just one way to help them to have a better life", Jerry Pinkas Real Estate finds hope in the heart of this community. It’s clear that he has a passion for the Myrtle Beach community by fighting for life-changing causes through the power of pinball.
