1. Orange County Public Schools leaders were sent a letter from Florida Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran threatening them over their mask mandate. The letter was sent after the ruling by a judge against Governor DeSantis that said the state overstepped its authority on mask mandates. The state is appealing the ruling by the judge to a higher court. (WFTV)
2. The Central Florida Disaster Medical Coalition is sending 14 portable morgues to area hospitals to help make room as deaths surge from the Delta variant of COVID-19 and overwhelm the local healthcare system. (WESH)
3. Mills 50 District and Ivanhoe Village Main Street will team up on Saturday, September 11th from 5p.m. to 9 p.m. for their annual Virginia Drive Live event. Guests can enjoy live entertainment and food trucks as well as specials at local businesses with a wristband. (Bungalower)
