Social media is flooded with people wondering whether PTCL is down in Pakistan as they are unable to use services such as Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.
However, PTCL services are not down in Pakistan but experiencing localized issues in some areas of the country, including in Lahore, Islamabad Mansehra and Multan. However, these issues are completely unrelated to the outage of Facebook and related services, including Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.
It is pertinent to mention that many users were facing localized issues with their PTCL connection earlier as well in these areas but it was later fixed and anyone else facing any troubles with their connection should contact PTCL and launch a complaint regarding the matter.
This has sparked a meme fest on social media with people wondering whether PTCL services are down in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) which has no authority over Facebook is investigating the matter regarding Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp being down worldwide.
