ABSTRACT
China's total imports of manganese ore over January-October this year remained essentially unchanged at 25.64 million tonnes, rising by only 0.7% on year, according to thelatest detailed data released by China's GeneralAdministration of Customs. Thanks to the plunge in October's imports, the rise in the ten-month total was far smaller than the 3.8% climb registered during January-September.
Last month, China imported 2.58 million tonnes of manganese ore, and though this was higher by 369,433 tonnes or 16.7% on month, it was still 658,052 tonnes or 20.3% lower compared with one year earlier, the Customs data showed.
