Middlesex County mayors will meet with members of the business community to share economic development opportunities.

This year’s topics include arts and culture, travel and tourism, sustainability, and economic development.

Meet the mayors of Woodbridge, Sayreville, Metuchen and Perth Amboy at 8 a.m. Dec. 2 at the Pines Manor, 2085 Route 27, Edison.

It was 70 years ago in 1951 that a group of garden-loving women from the Stephenville section of Edison came together to start the Terra Nova Garden Club (TNGC) with the purpose of beautification and encouraging the love of gardening in their community.

The TNGC is proud to be celebrating 70 years of its commitment to the community, and will do so on Dec. 8 at the Pines Manor, 2085 Route 27, Edison.

Temple Emanu-El will celebrate Hanukkah beginning at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 at the temple, 100 James St., Edison.

There will be a bonfire, donuts, hot chocolate and music.

The evening Shabbat service will be held at 7 p.m. Students in grades K-2 will participate, and third graders will be presented with their Siddurim.

Rabbi Rachael Pass, associate rabbi and director of spiritual counseling at the T’Shuvah Center, will be the special guest.
