The Pakistan interior minister has confirmed attacks on two military camps in Balochistan. Armed assailants attacked two security forces’ camps in Pakistan's restive southwestern Balochistan province, triggering an intense exchange of fire in which at least four terrorists and a soldier were killed, the military’s media wing said. In a statement, the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said: "both attacks were successfully repulsed, inflicting heavy casualties on terrorists”. (PTI input)
Army Chief Gen MM Naravane was quoted by PTI as saying, "We are witnessing trailers of future conflicts...Developments on northern border underscored need of capable forces with optimal component of boots on ground backed by modern tech... We are focusing on restructuring, rebalancing & reorienting our forces."
