Tech giant Bill Gates meets PM Khan in first trip to country - Daily Minute Mirror

Tech giant Microsoft’s co-founder Bill Gates arrived in Islamabad today and met with Prime Minister Imran Khan on his first ever trip to the country.
Earlier today, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan had confirmed that Gates had arrived in Pakistan.
Sultan had said that Gates would review progress regarding polio eradication work ongoing in the country and hold meetings with President Dr. Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan and other provincial health officials.
Bill Gates will also pay a visit to the National Command and Operation Centre. He will be given briefings on measures being used to curb the spread of the Coronavirus and polio virus in the country. He is expected to return this evening after holding meetings with top Pakistani officials.
It is a pleasure to welcome Mr Bill Gates on his first ever visit to Pakistan. Planned engagements include review of progress on polio eradication; visits to NCOC and Ehsaas program as well as meeting the President, the PM and health leadership of the provinces.

Gates has previously conversed with the premier regarding different problems along with their solutions. PM Khan urged Gates to provide humanitarian assistance to the poverty-stricken people of Afghanistan. The pair also talked regarding the polio situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
