Rebuilding Pakistan Through Technology - The Friday Times

In a bid to help rebuild Pakistan from the after-effects of the catastrophic floods, xWave, Pakistan’s first technology-driven flood relief initiative is all set to create long-term, sustainable impact for Pakistan’s flood affectees.
Salahuddin Khawaja, the founder of Hypermode (an NY-based crypto consulting firm) and the digital agency, Decklaration, is the force behind xWave, who previously helped build 3,000 shelters after the catastrophic 2005 Kashmir earthquake.
Having spent 20 years on Wall Street, focused on shepherding change through Digital Transformation, Salahuddin recently organised a community effort of 10+ different organisations to launch xWave with the goal of bringing a tech-based approach to disaster relief.
xWave plans to galvanise change by providing sustainable housing, digital literacy and digital employment to our flood-affected communities. This tech-based model is aimed at creating exponential impact that will give those impacted by the floods, long-term, sustainable living. Through xWave, Salahuddin’s goal is to help 300 families create an economic impact of $14 Million over 10 years.
Previously with Deloitte, JP Morgan and Bank of America, Salahuddin has consistently given back to Pakistan throughout the arc of his career.
