This is the video I've been waiting for! SEO is the bane of my life. If I'm being honest, I don't really understand it. Being 48 and a photographer for almost 16 years, I have a good knowledge of my job-related skills and what it means to be able to capture a great photograph. However, I, as I suspect like a lot of photographers, know just enough about social media, websites, and SEO to be dangerous. This video outlines what it takes to get to the top of Google in 2023 and where to go to get more information about the subject.
Jeff Brown talks about Google's new Helpful Content update, how SEO is going to play a smaller part when looking at rankings, and how to create a website Google will love. He covers why you need to connect with your visitor in under three seconds through understanding your client's fears and empathizing with their needs. He also covers the important topics we’ve all debated, like why you absolutely must have your prices on your website, the advantages of deleting your testimonial page, and how to convert your visitors into inquiries and bookings.
Jeff Brown's business platform is called The Photographer's Mentor. I'm inclined to agree with that. Knowing Jeff personally and seeing not just how he's helped me but also many other photographers makes it hard to disagree. First and foremost, he's a photographer, but he's also a business educator, writer, and just a great guy.
