The course blends interactive lectures with hands-on training and live surgical demonstration, helping attendees master foundational procedures - including implant planning and protocols - while also building trust with patients through effective communication and treatment strategies.

“This course was designed to guide clinicians through the fundamentals in a way that’s organized, accessible, and hands-on,” said Dr. Michael A. Pikos, Founder and CEO of Pikos Institute. “Each module is built to deliver surgical clarity and implant confidence from day one.”

The nine-month program is divided into four immersive modules, each lasting three days. The curriculum is designed to help clinicians safely and predictably place dental implants, from diagnostics and patient selection to surgical technique and long-term maintenance.

Module 1, held August 7- 9, focuses on surgical extraction, socket grafting, and single implant placement. Participants will engage in case-based lectures, hands-on model training, and live surgery viewing under the direct instruction of Pikos Institute founder Dr. Pikos and his faculty. The remaining modules will cover multiple implant placement, GBR, soft tissue grafting, provisionalization, overdentures, peri-implantitis care, and full arch workflows.

“This continuum transforms how clinicians approach implant dentistry,” said Dr. Michael A. Pikos. “We designed it to give doctors the structure, support, and surgical clarity they need to deliver outstanding care from the start.”

In addition to surgical and prosthetic training, the Mastering Implant Dentistry Fundamentals program includes guidance on case presentation, increasing treatment acceptance, and integrating implant services into daily practice. The program is part of Pikos Institute’s broader mission to advance implant dentistry through hands-on education and clinical excellence. The program also emphasizes long-term care strategies, complication prevention, and patient communication techniques.

Attendees join a collaborative learning environment and gain access to the global Pikos Alumni Network, which supports ongoing mentorship and professional development long after the course ends.

Module 1 begins the second cohort next year August 7-9, 2026 in the Tampa Bay area. Enrollment is limited to ensure personalized instruction and hands-on experience. To learn more or register, visit the official course page.

Module 2, covering multiple implants, GBR, compromised sockets, and L-PRF, will follow on November 5-7, 2026 also in the Tampa Bay area.
