During her own wedding planning, Lillie noticed veils in boutiques often cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. It was a price she could not justify after investing in her gown. Her search for an alternative led her to Etsy, where disappointment with poor quality confirmed what many brides feel: there had to be a better way.
“I quickly realized I wasn’t alone,” says Lillie. “Friends and fellow brides had the same frustration. When I started selling veils on Facebook Marketplace, the demand was overwhelming. That gave me the confidence to build Calily and help brides feel beautiful without overpaying.”

Calily has introduced a home try-on service for brides in the US and Australia, one of the first of its kind for veils. Brides can try a veil with their gown in the comfort of their home, then keep it or return it for a small restocking fee.
