An Inside Recap of Wimbledon 2025, and What to Expect From The Championships 2026

Wimbledon is always packed with excitement and extraordinary moments, from watching tennis greats go head-to-head on the sport's most famous stage to royalty and star-studded spectator stands and, of course, the thrill of watching challengers take on the top-seeded names.

The UK's leading debenture ticket supplier, Wimbledon Debenture Tickets, has been providing five-star client experiences for 24 years and in this year alone, it ensured that over 4,000 clients were delighted with their trip, with many travelling from around the world to sit courtside at Centre Court and No. 1 Court.

Its hospitality specialists have shared their favourite moments and matches from The Championships, highlighted the feedback received from satisfied clients, and advised on what tennis enthusiasts can expect from next year's tournament.

Standout Moments and Shocking Upsets From The Championships 2025

For us, the best aspect of Wimbledon is always hearing from our clients, who have a true VIP experience, regardless of the days of the tournament they attend or the seats they choose. Our role is to help plan the perfect visit, assisting with seat selections, hotels, flights, transfers, and providing access to the exclusive benefits that come with Wimbledon debenture tickets.

Wimbledon is about more than world-class tennis, and has a prestige and heritage that are unforgettable, creating a sense of magic that only comes with watching history being made right in front of you, while hanging on to each serve and volley.

However, if we focus on the tennis itself, we'd have to point to Jannik Sinner's powerful defeat of returning champion Carlos Alcaraz, a four-set match with a blistering pace and aggression, and to Iga Świątek dominating opponent Amanda Anisimova, becoming Wimbledon champion in less than an hour. Świątek is the first woman to have won a Wimbledon final without dropping a game.

There were some notable disappointments for big names like Coco Gauff and Alexander Zverev, the number two and three seeds, respectively, who were both knocked out in round one. This contrasted with incredible success for Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool, who became the first British men’s doubles winners for a staggering 89 years.

Spectators were also captivated by seeing teenager Mirra Andreeva reach the semifinals, and to watch Jacob Fearnley, the British wildcard, make it to the fourth round, both players who we expect to see much more from in the future.

As always, we're very grateful to every client who chooses to trust us with their visit to The Championships, and to share some of the outstanding comments they've been kind enough to provide to the team, letting us know how their experience unfolded.

Favourite Aspects of the Wimbledon Experience From Wimbledon Debenture Ticket Clients

One client attended with a group of six friends, who are on a mission to attend all of the tennis majors. They headed to London for two days to watch gameplay on both Centre Court and No. 1 Court. Having chosen their debenture seats in each court, they told us that ‘our Wimbledon trip was absolutely amazing’, commenting on how the experience was ‘largely made possible’ due to our assistance. He also added, ‘the debenture seats on both days were fantastic and kept us in the shade the entire time' – something we know makes such a difference to the enjoyment of spectators, particularly given this summer's heatwaves, which sent temperatures soaring.

Talking about the communication and support he received on behalf of his party, the client emphasised how important this was, saying 'we were kept informed during the days and weeks prior, with valuable information to make the experience that much better' and that, having attended three of four majors, 'Wimbledon topped them all.'

Another client was equally happy with his two-day attendance at Wimbledon, having tickets right behind the players' box that meant he 'saw some amazing matches'. His personal highlights included watching from the front row on the outside courts during Donna Vekic’s win, seeing Draper beat Baez to a storming reaction from the crowd, and witnessing Navarro, a favourite player, defeat Kvitova.

You’ll find plenty more testimonials and comments about the Wimbledon experience via our reviews pages, all of which are submitted by verified clients.

Looking Forward to Wimbledon 2026: The Latest News and Updates

The long-planned upgrade and renovation works to Henman Hill are due to begin when The Championships 2026 concludes, which means there is anticipated to be enormous demand for tickets, as it will be the last opportunity to soak in the charm of Wimbledon as it currently looks.

Planned changes include improvements to accessible viewing areas, adding seating to enhance the visibility of the large screen broadcasting play on No. 1 Court, and a 20% increase in capacity to accommodate additional guests in the space.

This is all part of the All England Club’s plans to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Wimbledon. While the updates will be welcomed, many spectators hold great nostalgia for the tournament and will no doubt be hoping to attend next summer.

In other news, the dates for 2026 have been confirmed as Monday, June 29th, through Sunday, July 12th. While the public ballot has now closed, debenture tickets are on sale, with the option to select your preferred dates and courts, and to pick from varied seating tiers based on the number of attendees and your budget.

Debenture tickets guarantee your seats for the full day of play, alongside providing entry to the outside courts depending on availability, access to the exclusive Debenture Holders' entrance, lounges, restaurants and bars, and a pre-loaded Oyster travel card to ensure you can head to and from the tournament and central London with ease.
