Dermatolo-G, a telehealth dermatology practice founded and led by CEO Gigi Rusnak, MSN, FNP-C, DCNP, has officially expanded into Colorado, marking its fifth state of operation. With roots in Washington and services extending across Idaho, Montana, Utah, and now Colorado, the practice is reshaping how patients access dermatologic care.

For Rusnak, the mission is straightforward: make dermatology care accessible, personal, and uncomplicated. “Patients should not have to spend hours driving, waiting in a lobby, and then getting just a few minutes with a doctor,” Rusnak says. “With Dermatolo-G, they can connect virtually, get high-quality attention, and feel confident that their concerns are truly being heard.”

Dermatolo-G operates entirely virtually. Appointments are available without referrals, insurance requirements, or lengthy scheduling delays. Patients pay a flat fee, and every consultation is conducted directly with Rusnak. There are no assistants; every email, message, and follow-up comes from her.

This hands-on approach reflects her commitment to quality. Each appointment lasts a minimum of 30 minutes, giving patients the time to discuss conditions ranging from acne and hair loss to psoriasis and eczema. When needed, prescriptions are sent electronically to a patient’s local pharmacy, and Rusnak can order lab work through national providers. She is also certified to prescribe medications, which requires government oversight.

“Spending at least 30 minutes with each patient allows me to dig deeper,” Rusnak says. “Conditions like hair loss or chronic skin issues are not simple. Virtual care gives us the time to address these problems thoroughly and thoughtfully.”

Flexibility is another cornerstone of Dermatolo-G. Standard appointment hours are designed to accommodate both early risers and those who work late shifts, but Rusnak often adjusts her schedule to meet patient needs. “If someone reaches out and says they can only meet after hours, I do everything I can to make it work,” she says. “Healthcare should adapt to people’s lives, not the other way around.”

While Dermatolo-G focuses on conditions well-suited to virtual care, Rusnak is clear about the boundaries of telehealth. Cases involving suspected skin cancers or highly complex conditions are referred to in-person specialists. “I want people to know they have options for everyday dermatology,” she emphasizes. “By taking on cases like acne, rashes, or psoriasis virtually, we free up in-person dermatology clinics to focus on life-threatening conditions.”

Rusnak’s background as a nurse practitioner shaped her vision for Dermatolo-G. After years of experience in dermatology offices, she saw how rushed appointments left patients without the attention they needed. Her telehealth model was designed to flip that experience. “Patients want someone who listens,” she says. “With Dermatolo-G, that’s exactly what they get.”

The expansion into Colorado is a geographic milestone; it signals growing demand for patient-centered telehealth dermatology. Rusnak hopes the model encourages more people to prioritize skin health without the traditional barriers of time, referrals, or insurance.

“I want people to know dermatology doesn’t need to be complicated,” Rusnak says. “Your skin health matters, and now it’s easier than ever to get care that fits into your life.”
