Development finance institution Norfund has signed a five-year lease for 387 sqm of P-Grade office space at The Towers, 15 Alice Lane in Sandton, establishing its South African head office in one of the node's premier green-certified buildings.

The lease, brokered by Elize Jansen from Currie Group on behalf of the landlord, Growthpoint Properties, sees Norfund occupying a high-specification, fitted suite with direct access to the Gautrain and Nelson Mandela Square. The organization took occupation on 1 October 2025.

"This transaction reflects the continued demand for quality, sustainable office space in Sandton's central business district," said Elize Jansen, Head of Sandton Leasing at Currie Group. "Norfund's decision to establish its head office at 15 Alice Lane underscores the appeal of green-certified buildings with premium public transport connectivity."

The Currie Group reports an increase in corporate leasing activity in Sandton during 2025, with tenants prioritizing public transport links, security infrastructure, and energy-efficient buildings. Fitted office suites have proven particularly popular as companies seek to minimize capital expenditure on relocations.
