Namarie, an emerging non-toxic, BPA-free clothing brand, is celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The seasonal campaign initiative reflects the brand’s deeper mission to support women’s health through clothing that is safe, sustainable, and non-toxic.

Colt Lamb, alongside his friend Bryan Nardone and sister Kylie Lamb, co-founded Namarie in 2024, envisioning the brand as an alternative to traditional activewear. The trio was deeply concerned by the presence of toxic substances often found in athletic clothing. Observing a lack of safe and healthier options motivated the team to turn science and nature in their favor, ultimately developing a process to derive yarn from industrial hemp.

The result is Namarie’s proprietary fabric, Sylvendel®, a hemp-based yarn that is soft, durable, and gentle on even the most sensitive skin. Since the brand uses only natural dyes, Namarie clothes are free from harsh chemicals and toxins. This conversation becomes even more relevant when taking into consideration one of the most common cancers: breast cancer.

Far too many people go through the pain of breast cancer, whether that be those living with the illness or the loved ones who surround them. With BPA being proven to accelerate carcinogenesis of breast cancer, the need for change is clear. But for many, this information is either unknown or the products at their disposal are underwhelming to say the least. “For too long, the option was high-performance or BPA-free. Our products change that; they bring a much-needed solution in a high-quality, comfortable, and fashionable way. We strive not to leave any space for compromise.”

Each piece in the collection, from Classic and Signature leggings to bras, shorts, men’s Breck tee, and the Emery tennis dress, is purposefully created for longevity. Rather than ephemeral fashion trends, Namarie uses timeless designs that support performance, comfort, and durability. The fabrics are engineered to remain vibrant and soft across many wears and washes, reducing waste and extending the lifecycle.

The company cultivates industrial hemp, the base of its Sylvendel® fabric, on previously destroyed rainforest land. Once the hemp is harvested, Namarie begins reforestation efforts, aiming to restore the environment and improve biodiversity. This closed-loop, regenerative approach is known as “Namarien Wood”. It reflects Namarie’s deeper mission of contributing to the healing of the planet through restorative practices.

The brand has launched a promotional campaign in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, announcing a considerable discount for all bras, aligning its launch with broader efforts to highlight issues of women’s health. Through this initiative, Namarie underscores its core belief that clothing should protect rather than threaten.

As part of its long-term vision, the company aims to license its innovative fabrics to other major brands, helping scale healthier materials across the global fashion industry. This highlights not only the future of the business itself but the importance of true change in the industry, and Namarie is here to lead that change.
