Pyramid Science Foundation has announced the release of Golden Ratio Scaling and the Visible Evidence of Simulation, a documentary exploring newly compiled research by its founder, Charlie Ziese. The recently released documentary offers viewers two formats: a two-hour abridged version and a six-and-a-half-hour unabridged edition. Both versions present Ziese’s extensive visual documentation of golden ratio-based geometric patterns he has studied across architecture, nature, and historical structures.

The documentary brings forward material Ziese has been developing for years, much of it centered on angles and geometric relationships he first encountered during his work with pyramidal forms. He explains, “What I put together is a visible, comprehensive foundational study showing that our physical universe may be controlled through an algorithm,” referring to the recurring angles he documented across numerous examples in nature and design. Although the documentary presents these findings clearly, the broader question it raises, whether these patterns might suggest a structured or programmed reality, is introduced without definitive claims.
Ziese’s background provides the foundation for the documentary’s direction. His early work began close to a decade ago with an examination of Russian pyramid apex angles, which led to broader investigations into architectural history, sacred geometry, and natural structures. Over time, these studies expanded into patterns he observed in plants, animals, seashells, ancient architecture, stars in the constellations, and fluid dynamics. “I have thousands of examples that demonstrate this,” he notes, offering that the documentary condenses roughly five years of visual research into an accessible format for public viewing.
What the documentary aims to provide is a structured overview of Ziese’s observations rather than conclusions. Throughout its chapters, the documentary presents examples of recurring angular relationships, including supplementary angles that Ziese refers to as “missing links” in earlier theoretical discussions. “My objective is not to direct viewers toward any fixed belief but to offer a cohesive catalog of patterns that have appeared consistently across diverse fields of study,” he says.
The documentary’s abridged version serves as an introduction to these themes. The extended version, by contrast, includes deeper explorations into how these geometries relate to plant growth, animal form, ancient architecture, and other phenomena.
Ziese also explains the importance of accessibility. By placing the documentary on a public platform without monetization, he aims to ensure that viewers can explore the content without barriers. “I'm not trying to get rich off of this, or famous,” he shares. “I just want to change the world with this knowledge”. His goal, as he frames it, is to present material that may encourage curiosity about geometry, natural structure, and the ways patterns appear in daily life.
The release of Golden Ratio Scaling and the Visible Evidence of Simulation marks a significant moment for Ziese and the Pyramid Science Foundation, which he founded as a nonprofit to support research and education related to geometric and scientific exploration. The documentary reflects the organization’s mission to make complex ideas accessible to audiences who are open to examining unusual or emerging scientific perspectives.
Following the documentary’s release, Ziese hopes that viewers will form their own interpretations. The documentary does not aim to assert conclusions but instead encourages exploration of the recurring structures it documents. “Through this approach,” he says, “the release can contribute to a broader public conversation around pattern recognition, scientific curiosity, and how natural geometry continues to inspire inquiry.”
