Bet the World Entertainment, LLC, a multi-media company founded by Leon E. Nichols, Calvin Davis, and Jerry Fife, has announced a call for investors to help advance a new global framework for thoroughbred racing. Based in Kentucky, the company is developing initiatives that aim to elevate the visibility of the sport on the world stage and position it alongside globally recognized games and leagues.
With the horse racing market valued at $471 billion, Bet the World Entertainment’s next phase centers on a proposed World Team Championship of Thoroughbred Racing business model, an international event designed to bring together horses, trainers, and riders from across multiple continents. The concept introduces a team-based format to a sport focused on individual owners and entries, aimed at creating a narrative that mirrors the appeal of major global competitions.

The duo has also formed the Project to Preserve African-American Turf History (PPAATH), a nonprofit that encompasses the historical and educational information, highlighting African-American achievement in horse racing.
Nichols and Davis have spoken on racing podcasts and at community forums about their work within the industry, the sport’s evolving landscape, and the history of African-American jockeys. Davis says their shared background and long-standing partnership shaped the company’s direction and fueled its ambition to bring forward new ideas. “We’ve created something that we believe speaks directly to what the industry has been asking for, and now we want to get it in front of prospective investors to grow its impact globally,” Davis says.

The founders believe a global team championship could generate sustained public interest by offering international competition that is easily understood and widely marketable. They see the potential for new equestrian and human stars to emerge, for broader media coverage to follow, and for the sport’s global identity to strengthen. According to Nichols, the company has held conversations with organizers in Japan, the Middle East, and other major racing regions, and is now seeking partners who can help formalize the next steps. “We’ve built the relationships, we’ve studied the data, and we understand where the opportunities lie. What we need now is the right investor partnership to bring this to life.”
The company is also studying the role of technology in expanding wagering engagement. With the rise of advanced tracking systems and analytics, Bet the World Entertainment envisions a future in which AI can enhance real-time wagering and transform traditional betting behavior into an interactive, in-race experience. “We aim to be the first AI-powered global horse racing tournament,” says Fife.
Fife notes that AI-driven systems are expected to create rapid odds adjustments based on speed, position, and momentum, as well as unlock micro-betting opportunities and personalized wagering insights. This includes the ability for bettors to receive live win probabilities and AI-generated prompts that reflect changing race dynamics.
The founders believe innovations like this, paired with a global championship model, could help position horse racing more prominently within the $452 billion sports event market landscape. “Our goal is to get people talking, looking, and engaging with the sport in new ways,” Davis says, adding that investor participation will be essential in accelerating the company’s growth strategy. “With the shift in sport betting legalization, we hope that the World Riding Championship will generate more intrinsic value for industry participants, racetrack operators, and sports betting merchants across the globe,” Nichols adds.
Bet the World Entertainment is inviting prospective partners to review its proposals, engage with its team, and participate in shaping what the company sees as a transformative moment for thoroughbred racing on the international stage. Nichols says their current projects, such as As One Racing, Photo Finish, Become The Wind and A Derby week celebrity pro AM honouring Isaac Murphy, one of America's first sports superstars, encompass the founders' vision to engage broader audiences. “We’ve come a long way, and now we’re a lot more ready, and ready to go,” Davis notes, highlighting how the trio is prepared to pioneer this next chapter in the global evolution of thoroughbred racing.
