Barcelona, Spain: BINDU Institute has launched as an edtech start up offering education and training in holistic health sciences. The Institute enters the field at a time when integrative, preventive, and lifestyle-based approaches are increasingly being used across clinical practice, community health initiatives, and organizational wellbeing programs, often without consistent educational pathways.

The Institute develops programs that combine foundational health sciences, including anatomy, physiology, psychology, and behavioral health, with established contemplative and traditional health practices. Programs follow academic standards, though their design is influenced by the practical conditions in which this work takes place. Teaching is delivered through in person immersions, live group learning, and guided self study completed online. The programs are intended to complement existing medical, clinical, and professional training, rather than replace established qualifications. Educational formats include professional trainings, postgraduate-level study, and organizational programming.

BINDU Institute was founded by three women, who are all mothers and whose professional backgrounds span women’s health, education, psychology, and corporate leadership. Academic oversight and governance are supported by an international faculty and an interdisciplinary Board of Health responsible for curriculum standards and program integrity.

The Institute’s work is focused on preparing people to operate effectively within contemporary health, wellbeing, and organizational systems, with an emphasis on prevention and long term health.

Alesha Cumpton, one of three co-founders at BINDU Institute, says: “From the start, we were building something that didn’t exist in the form we imagined.”

An engineer by training with an MBA from IMD in Switzerland, Cumpton's journey has been guided by a deep understanding of alignment — connecting one's personal "dharma" with a meaningful contribution. A pivotal moment during her yoga training in Ibiza deepened Cumpton's dedication to service and community, making her recognize the transformative potential in all of us. Alesha empowers others to reconnect with purpose and serve authentically by leading EdTech (Educational Technology) and wellness ventures and mentoring individuals and organizations.

“We follow a call to reimagine health as wholeness, and to lead a new era of holistic transformation,” says the second co-founder, Suzanne Faith, who holds a PhD in Counselling Psychology alongside a foundation in educational psychology and business. Suzanne has spent her career as a university professor, health clinic practitioner, meditation guide, and yoga teacher. Her work seamlessly integrates evidence-based research with ancient wisdom, fostering learning as a path for expansion and self-expression. Grounded in her ancestral roots and inspired by her shared passion for yoga, Suzanne’s vision reflects a profound belief: that growth emerges when we embrace all that we are. Her leadership, both academic and intuitive, serves as a cornerstone for transforming educational paradigms and nurturing future generations to thrive.

“The essence of my work is to reconnect women to the profound wisdom of the bodies and to support them in becoming sovereign of their health and well-being,” says Vanina Grisoni, the third co-founder, women’s health specialist, educator, and founder of multiple women-centred learning platforms. With a background in engineering and international business, Vanina has managed large-scale funding initiatives for NGOs and development banks, leading projects serving governments and institutions worldwide. Yet, it was her role as a yoga teacher, and later as a mother that sparked a deeper inquiry into the foundation of health, leadership, and education. Vanina’s work champions a new model of women’s health: one rooted in sovereignty, sustainability, and deep respect for the intelligence of the female body. She loves bridging physiology, hormonal health, nervous system regulation, and embodied and ancestral wisdom.
