Attorney Smith brings more than 25 years of experience representing individuals, families, and closely held businesses in estate planning, trust administration, business succession, and related advisory matters.
His approach emphasizes clarity, preparation, and helping clients navigate emotionally and financially significant decisions with confidence. In addition to his trusts and estates work, he has substantial experience in corporate and transactional matters, business disputes, employment issues, and probate litigation.
Prior to joining Berluti McLaughlin & Kutchin LLP, Attorney Smith built and led his own practice for more than a decade, focusing on estate planning, with additional work advising small businesses on corporate and employment matters. Earlier in his career, he practiced in corporate and transactional roles at Sullivan & Worcester LLP, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, and Choate Hall & Stewart LLP.
Attorney Smith earned his J.D. and M.A. from Georgetown University and his A.B. from Harvard University.
