BRYCER Launches Pre-Plan to Give First Responders Verified Building Intelligence Before Arrival

New service within The Compliance Engine delivers property-level life safety data, including interactive maps and premises characteristics, to AHJs for free.

BRYCER, the creator of The Compliance Engine (TCE), announced the launch of Pre-Plan, a new service within TCE that gives Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and first responders verified, property-level life safety intelligence before they arrive on scene, improving situational awareness and supporting faster, more informed decisions. Recognizing that pre-incident planning is a critical need for AHJs, Pre-Plan is now natively integrated into TCE following BRYCER, available at no cost to all TCE jurisdictions across the platform today.

Every second matters when first responders are dispatched. Critical building information has not always been readily available en route, including what life safety systems are inside a building, where Fire Department Connections (FDCs) and Knox Boxes are located, and how to access key areas quickly. Pre-Plan addresses this directly by surfacing verified compliance data from inspection records already captured in TCE, while also giving AHJs access to add and manage their own premises information, so that AHJs arrive with a complete, up-to-date picture.

BRYCER

Two Core Components. One Unified View.
Pre-Plan is built around two components that work together to give fire departments a complete picture of every property in their jurisdiction:

  • Interactive Map: Displays critical building assets such as FDCs, Knox Boxes, and system locations on a property-level map that AHJs can manage and update.
  • Premises Characteristics: A structured, editable summary of key building information such as occupancy type, hazards, utility shutoffs, and emergency contacts.

Together, these components give responding units a verified, property-level view built from both ITM-submitted inspection records and AHJ-managed data — all in one place, giving AHJs direct control over what is captured and displayed.

"By tying pre-incident planning directly into the compliance data already living in TCE, AHJs gain a single source of truth for the structures in their jurisdiction," said BRYCER Spokesperson. "That means stronger situational awareness for responders, less duplicate data entry for departments, and tighter coordination between inspection and response."

Free for All AHJs. Additional Features Available Through Opt-In.
All TCE jurisdictions have access to Pre-Plan by default today. Beginning June 1, 2026, AHJs that opt in can unlock expanded features on Pre-Plan at no cost, including additional map icon categories and a more comprehensive set of premises characteristics sections.

Pre-Plan represents the latest milestone in BRYCER's effort to unify compliance, inspection, and operational readiness within a single platform for fire and life safety compliance. Additional Pre-Plan features are planned for the future. Follow BRYCER to stay up to date on the latest updates and announcements.
