More than 2,500 visitors explored over 2,000 design works from 40+ international teams, highlighting the connection between objects, architecture, technology, ecology, and urban development.
REALM Nomad Group NYC successfully presented Reflection of the Future, a major international design exhibition held from May 2–11, 2026, at 501 9th Avenue in Manhattan. The exhibition attracted more than 2,500 visitors and featured over 2,000 digital works from more than 40 design teams representing architecture, urban innovation, ecology, technology, and design excellence.
Curated by REALM Nomad Group NYC in collaboration with co-curator Ruxuan Zheng, the exhibition explored how innovation evolves across scales—from everyday objects and products to buildings, infrastructure, and entire cities. The exhibition was built around the theme “From the Object to the City: A Continuum of Innovation,” demonstrating how design thinking influences the environments people interact with every day.
Located at 501 9th Avenue near Hudson Yards, Penn Station, and the Lincoln Tunnel, the exhibition venue served as a fitting backdrop for conversations about urban transformation, sustainability, and the future of city development.
“Reflection of the Future was created to highlight how design impacts every scale of human experience,” said representatives of REALM Nomad Group NYC. “From product design and digital fabrication to architecture and urban systems, the exhibition brought together global perspectives on the future of the built environment.”
The exhibition showcased projects across five categories:
• Architecture – Innovative structures and built-environment concepts redefining how people live and interact with space.
• Urban Innovation – Projects addressing resilience, equity, infrastructure, and future city planning.
• Ecology – Design solutions focused on sustainability, regeneration, and environmental stewardship.
• Technology – AI-driven design, digital fabrication, and emerging technologies shaping future development.
• Design Excellence – Internationally recognized award-winning works, including projects honored by the A’ Design Award & Competition.
Participating designers, architects, researchers, and institutions represented countries across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, reinforcing the exhibition’s commitment to international collaboration and cross-disciplinary exchange.
The event was supported by a diverse coalition of institutional partners, academic organizations, industry leaders, and sponsors, including A’ Design Award & Competition, Shenzhen University School of Architecture and Urban Planning (SAUP), AIANY, Rigel Atlas, PolyGone Systems, ZD Jasper Realty, and other global partners.
Following the success of the exhibition, REALM Nomad Group NYC announced plans to strengthen academic partnerships, expand institutional collaborations, and develop future initiatives that connect architecture, design, technology, and urban development on an international scale.
