Bringing Families Together at West Fargo Farmer's Market

Looking down the rows of farmers, bakers, crafters, and more, one might not realize how much the market brings families together. One farmer vendor has four generations participating. Gramp greets shoppers, Bob and his son tell about radishes that will grow hair on your chest, and at their side is "Little T" selling lemonade for fifty cents.

Across the way is a father/daughter team who were the first to have pickling cukes. They also have delicious hand picked raspberries, when they are in season, of course. A friendly banter with the Cinnamon Almonds mom, who is teaching her school-aged children the skills of entrepreneurship, fills the space in-between. The children scream hello at their friends who have come to shop with their parents.

The farmers and bakers take pride in where their fare comes from and often give samples which are loved by the children. It's not uncommon to see a child walking down through the market chomping on a pepper.

The West Fargo Farmers Market and Beyond is providing an opportunity for education, community, and a strengthening of families. Shoppers can visit with the families twice a week at the West Fargo Farmer's Market.

The West Fargo Parks District organizes the market each year. The focus of the market is to provide local growers with the opportunity to bring fresh produce, as well as flora, bulbs, jams, jellies, herbs, berries, directly to the public. In addition to local farmers, food, art and craft artisans sell unique, local goods.
