Ohio University's College of Business Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program will offer a new online MBA option in the fall of 2012. The new online option complements Ohio University’s current Professional MBA (PMBA) program for working professionals.

"Over the years, we have received many inquiries from professionals about an online MBA program so we are pleased to add this to our offerings," said Hugh Sherman, dean, COB. “We believe this program will allow ambitious professionals with multiple demands on their time to accelerate their career while balancing work, family and education.”

Through the new online MBA, students will complete their degrees in two years with the same academic requirements as those taking the Professional MBA degree and can acquire a specialization in finance, healthcare, and executive management. In addition to the online courses, the program includes one mandatory and two optional on-campus Professional Development Workshops.

“The program’s focus on professional development makes it different from what’s out there,” says Tod Brokaw, director, graduate programs, College of Business. “The program’s combination of solid MBA-level business skills plus greater self-understanding is designed to provide a transformative experience for program participants.”

The graduate office is currently accepting applications now for the inaugural fall 2012 semester of the online program. For more information about Ohio University’s MBA online, visit http://onlinemba.ohio.edu/ or call 1-866-665-4180.
