A glamorous forthcoming event which aims to raise funds to help train the star chefs of tomorrow is being supported by Natural Retreats, a specialist in offering luxury self-catering breaks and holidays in some of the UK's most stunning locations.

The company is offering for auction a week's stay in one of its holiday cottages for up to six people at a choice of exclusive locations around the UK.

The event is being hosted by Jamie Oliver's restaurant-come-social enterprise Fifteen Cornwall, which provides training for a group of apprentice chefs in a stunning setting on the beach at Watergate Bay, near the holiday hotspot of Newquay.

Several desirable lots will go under the hammer at the event, on Thursday October 4, which also features a fashion show from local boutique Bishop Philpott, at which it will showcase clothes from the latest collections of a range of star designers, including Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith and Nicole Farhi.

"We felt that one of our luxury self-catering holidays at a selection of glamorous locations, which include spots on the Llyn Peninsula and close to the famous Fistral Beach, would make a suitably desirable auction lot at this event for a very worthwhile cause," said Susie Lawlor, Head of Sales and Marketing at Natural Retreats.

"We pride ourselves on offering vacation rentals with a real touch of luxury and exclusivity", added Susie, "so we hope our offer will really get people bidding keenly on the night, in the knowledge that the winning bidder is helping Jamie's efforts to train and develop young Cornish talent."

Tickets for the fund-raising event are available, priced £60 each, by calling the Fifteen Cornwall reservations team on 01637 861000. Proceedings will start at 12 noon, and tickets include a three-course lunch prepared by Fifteen Cornwall's talented team of chefs.
