The brand new autumn/winter collection from Mulberry can now be found in Boutique1 stores, with the new collection featuring some interesting styles.

For autumn/winter 2012, Mulberry fashion designers have taken inspiration from 'Where the Wild Things Are', an amazing book by Maurice Sendak which was later recreated on film in Spike Jonze's cinematic version of the story for its designer clothes. The designers also took inspiration from 'The Lost Explorer', a film by Tim Walker, and the fantastic ethereal styles featured within it.

Mulberry's new collection manages to transport fashion followers back to English boarding schools, complete with imaginings of secret adventures in the dead of night. This is possible thanks to the use of fur in the collection for its designer evening dresses and casual clothing alike, conjuring up images of schoolchildren wrapped up against the winter chill, along with thoughts of Eskimos and Native Americans for those viewing the collection for the first time.

The colours chosen to represent Mulberry's autumn/winter collection are perfect for this time of year, with a clear pattern beginning with soft neutrals and flowing up to rich and hearty tones that represent the season in the best way.

The colours featured in the collection include snowball white, uniform grey, heather pink and black, along with indigo blue denim, oak, bark brown, natural, truffle, ink blue and sycamore. There are intense splashes of colour within Mulberry's autumn/winter collection, such as forest fruits, flame, petrol and pinky mink, which have been showcased in colour-block form to really grab attention.

The designer has also played with prints in the new collection, featuring prints that inspire a feeling of the fantastical, which is aided by the intriguing textures which have been used. Everything from designer bags to winter coats are included in the new collection, giving everyone a choice of something for them.

The theme of English boarding schools is brought back to the front and centre with one of the floral prints (scribbly floral) in the collection, as it features an eye-catching floral of pinks and reds, which has then been overlaid with a scribble reminiscent of a schoolgirl's. Another floral (blurry bloom) gives floral print a washed-out and magical look, while a third print (fuzzy tiger) depicts hand-drawn tiger print for an animalistic quality.

The new collection can be purchased at Boutique1 stores now.
