Principal Financial Group responsible as executive in charge for building the Los Angeles area organization in business volume and profitability and general performance. In addition to running the organization of 50 people, continued to work with business owner clients and qualified for the industry’s Million Dollar Round Table based upon my own performance in financial services.

Met Life Started career in the MBA Executive Development Program as a Sales Representative and was promoted 11 times to higher levels of Sales Management, Marketing and Financial positions in Chicago, New York City, and finally Los Angeles. Accountable for multimillion-dollar revenue and expense performance.

Highlights included qualifications for the company’s highest levels of recognition and incentive compensation including national leadership. Started a subsidiary for Met Life and implemented successfully in all 50 states visiting with and working with the management and executive leadership countrywide to produce a substantial source of revenue and profit for the company.

Regional Executive, Vice President and Senior Officer for Met Life in Southern California turning around the lowest performing business unit nationally with 24 offices and 700 employees in my region to achieve number one status nationally out of 68 Regions. Turnaround resulted in moving from last to first over a 10-year period.

Former Regional Commissioner, Malibu AYSO youth soccer with over 800 players ages 5-19; coached youth boys and girls soccer 20 years, and the AYSO World Games Champions in 1998 as head coach for the Malibu Boys U19 team. Coached high school, the Malibu Dolphins women’s soccer team 9 years and was a sponsor for UCLA men’s soccer for 10 years.

Played soccer in high school, college at the University of Kentucky, and after graduation played with the Kentucky Kickers, Cincinnati Comets in the ASL, A S Amaseno Chicago, and several celebrity games in LA. Contributed to multiple championships as a player, over 75% wins in over 900 games as a head soccer coach.

Compete at dog shows with AKC registered Norwegian Elkhounds for 15 years, participate in Scandinavian cultural events, and play electric and acoustic guitar. Enjoy mountain climbing, hiking and occasional mountain guiding primarily in the Sierra Nevada Range in California.
