nexMatrix Telecom announced today that is entering phase 2 of beta development for its Protelity hosted PBX and SIP trunk rebranding platform.
Protelity is a multi-tenant IP-PBX combined with an automated billing system, timeshared to a nexMatrix nexSwitch. This allows any company to become a hosted PBX provider and to offer SIP trunks to end users while taking advantage of wholesale SIP rates from nexMatrix.
The billing interface provides wide range of flexibility in setting up user accounts, with provisions for an unlimited number of user-defined rate plans and automated credit card billing using a built-in API, or with optional paper invoicing for monthly mailing. Provisions are included that allow additional line items other than telephone charges to be automatically added to each customer’s monthly bill. End user CDR’s and usage data are pushed daily to the provider’s server and are seamlessly integrated with each customer’s particular rate plan.
Beta 2 for Protelity includes major enhancements to the end user experience screens and the addition of several automated features, including auto-provisioning of DID’s and the ability for each customer to make routine changes to their phone configuration without directly involving their provider.
The Protelity PBX is the hosted, multi-tenant version of Protel, an enterprise-grade premise switch that offers tremendous versatility and functionality and a straightforward, easy-to-navigate web-based administration dashboard. Protel and Protelity are interoperable with most open-SIP end points, and also with Cisco SCCP phones. Version 2 of Protelity includes the ability to assign identical extension numbers to different customer accounts and to upload custom music-on-hold audio for each.
According to Dianne Ursini, C.E.O. of nexMatrix, the Protelity platform enables virtually any organization to become a Telco, without investing in expensive softswitch and billing solutions. “By timesharing the sophisticated abilities of our nexSwitch technology, we are essentially giving companies of any size the ability to rebrand and resell hosted PBX and SIP trunks without the back-end headaches,” Ursini said. “We take care of FCC tax collection, rate deck compilation, number porting and DID assignments so that the provider can concentrate on managing their customers’ phone configurations and provide value-added service to their end-users,” she added.
Ursini said that there are still some slots available in the beta 2 phase of development, with substantial discounts available to reseller partners for a short time before Beta 3 is made available. Interested resellers should contact the company at 208-697-5808 for more information.
