Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association's Newtown fundraiser "Look Who's Cookin" raises more than $50,000 for Sandy Hook workers.

Hartford, USA, 05/11/2013 / SubmitMyPR /

CTLA would like to share with our members the following letter of thanks received from Connecticut Senate Leaders Donald Williams and Martin Looney following our donation to the Sandy Hook Workers Assistance Fund.

Pursuant to Special Act 13-1, the fund, administered by the Connecticut Judicial Branch and the Office of Victim Services, provides immediate financial help for Sandy Hook Elementary School employees, emergency responders, and medical professionals who are suffering mental or emotional distress as a result of the tragedy.

Funds for CTLA’s donation derived in whole from the $53,430.00 proceeds of the 2013 “Look Who’s Cookin' Now” Newtown fundraiser produced and directed by the CTLA Women’s Caucus and drawn from the Connecticut Civil Justice Foundation. The remaining proceeds are slated for the Newtown Memorial Fund in the near future.

Best Regards,
Michael J. Walsh
President
