Big Turnout Expected for Grant High School 50th Reunion - Class of 1963

Over 200 members of the Grant High Class of 1963 are expected to gather in Portland, Oregon to celebrate their milestone 50th reunion on Saturday, August 10th.

Over 200 members of the Grant High School Class of 1963 are expected to gather in Portland to celebrate their milestone 50th reunion on Saturday, August 10th.

The evening event at Red Lion on the River will provide classmates with the opportunity to reconnect and reminisce while enjoying food, fun, music, and dancing. Alumni and their guests will check in at 5:30 pm for a cocktail hour, to be followed by a group photo session before the reunion dinner. Classmates who have not yet reserved their tickets may still do so online at the Classic Reunions website at www.classicreunions.com or by calling 503.626.3669.

The Saturday night celebration will be preceded by a Class of ’63 Blue & Gray Golf Tourney at the Heron Lakes Golf Club at 1:00 pm on Friday afternoon, August 9th. ABOUT THE GRANT CLASS OF 1963
As Oregon’s largest high school in the 1960s, Grant was known for its good-sized graduating classes, with 600 to 700 seniors receiving diplomas each year. The Class of 1963 was no exception; over 600 seniors—along with some 2,000 family members, friends, and teachers—participated in commencement ceremonies at the Portland Civic Auditorium on the evening of Thursday, June 6, 1963.
