Mastria Buick GMC Cadillac Named One of General Motors' Top Performers

Of all the Buick dealerships in Massachusetts, just one has met the high standards required to earn a General Motors Co. Mark of Excellence award this year. Boosted by their all-new facility in Raynham, Mastria Buick GMC Cadillac was recently named a Mark of Excellence dealer for the first time.

The GM Mark of Excellence award recognizes the dealerships that stand above the rest by exhibiting professionalism and superior customer service while growing their business in every aspect. Out of GM's approximately 4,500 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealerships across the United States, Mastria Buick GMC Cadillac was one of only 308 dealerships to earn the accolade.

While Mastria Buick GMC Cadillac has led the charge locally with Buick sales in 2013, the auto brand has been steadily attracting new car buyers nationwide as well. Last month, overall Buick sales increased by 37 percent in the United States compared to August 2012, with 24,650 models finding new homes. Additionally, Buick's retail sales saw their 16th straight month of gains, and it was the brand's best August since 2003. Year-to-date, Buick has moved 16 percent more vehicles than in the same period last year.

Two recently introduced compact models, the Buick Encore and Buick Verano, have each played significant roles in the brand's sales success this year. At dealerships since February, the Encore luxury compact crossover had its best month of sales yet in August, moving 4,296 units. Meanwhile, the Verano luxury compact sedan also attracted best-ever sales of 5,826 units, a 12 percent increase over August 2012.

"Car buyers are continuing to seek out smaller rides for added fuel efficiency and practically, and the Encore and Verano meet those needs while still featuring Buick's signature luxury and refinement," noted Carter. "That downsizing trend is particularly true of younger buyers, who have also been attracted to the Encore and Verano for their style and technology."
