The Hallmark Institute of Photography (http://hallmark.edu) announced today that it will host an Open House for prospective students on Saturday, December 6th from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. In addition to a catered lunch and demonstrations from Hallmark’s faculty, prospective students will be able to enjoy a tour of the campus decorated for the holiday season.

Hallmark hosts four Open Houses a year, allowing prospective students and their families to fit a visit to Hallmark into their busy schedules. Ed Martin, the President of Hallmark, says that of all the Open Houses, the December Open House is his favorite: “We'll have special sets, demos, and decorations with a holiday theme.” President Martin says. “It is a great opportunity to visit, enjoy some holiday festivities, and learn more about our program.”

Current Hallmark students will be working alongside their instructors, helping prospective students with demonstrations of the studios and equipment, and answering any questions about life as a student on campus. Prospective students are also encouraged to ask the faculty and staff for details about Hallmark’s intensive, 10-month photography program. For recent Hallmark graduate, Manny Fernandez (class of 2014), Hallmark provided an educational environment unlike any other: “Hallmark is not a school, it’s a home,” says Fernandez. “The instructors are engaged in your education every step of the way. Everyone wants to see each other succeed.”

Photographers and aspiring-photographers interested in attending the Open House should RSVP online (http://hallmark.edu/openhouse/) or call Hallmark at 413-863-2478.
