Since their market debuts during the 2012 model year, the affordable Toyota Prius c subcompact and cargo-friendly Prius v multi-purpose vehicle have expanded the appeal of America's best-selling hybrid to young urban drivers and growing families on the move. Toyota is looking to augment that allure by injecting some fresh style and technology into the 2015 Prius c and v, which go on sale soon.
Set apart immediately by new standard LED headlights and a new hexagonal grille that is available in piano black, the updated 2015 Prius c also receives futuristic "light pipe" taillights and three vibrant new paintjobs, including Electric Lime Metallic, Sparkling Sea Metallic and Tangerine Splash Pearl. Inside, the Prius c Two and Three grades are now available with two-tone Dark Blue Gray/Dark Charcoal fabric seats, while the Four grade features an all-new integrated backup camera.
"The Prius c and v offer highly practical solutions for city transport and suburban commuting, but the upgrades for the 2015 model year highlight just how sleek and stylish the two models can be," said Malcom Reid, general manager of Russel Toyota, a Baltimore Toyota dealer. Like the refreshed Prius c, the 2015 Prius v sports a restyled front end, donning a more aggressive grille and bumper. New LED headlights are also available, while Absolutely Red, Attitude Black Metallic and Toasted Walnut Pearl join the model's list of exterior colors. Buyers of the updated Prius v will be able to opt for an even wider range of advanced features, including an eight-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, a larger 4.2-inch TFT screen, upgraded Entune Audio systems with new multimedia capabilities and an expanded Advanced Technology Package that now includes Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beams.
