Thai Soldiers To Help Citizen From Cold And Drought

The Royal Thai Army Chief Udomdech Sitabuth is concerned for the people that are coping with local disasters.

The Royal Thai Army Chief Udomdech Sitabuth is concerned for the people that are coping with local disasters .The Royal Thai Army Chief ordered the local army ’s soldiers  to give continuous care  to the people. And he ordered the soldiers to coordinate with all departments to protect people from and mitigate disasters, according to the Royal Thai Army deputy spokesman Sirichan Ngathong.

 

At the moment, there are some provinces where people are suffering from the cold and drought. For example, the drought has been declared in three provinces including Nakhon Ratchasima and three provinces have been declared winter disaster areas, including Chiang Mai, Loei and Mae Hong Son.

The relief army has been sent to these areas to help the people by distributing 132,000 liters of water for consumption, blankets, 15,000 sweaters and 3,100 parcels to people in remote and hard to reach areas to alleviate the suffering of the public.

In addition, The Royal Thai Army Chief discussed that he had ordered the military to provide security to the public in all areas over the New Year. To be prepared, apart from maintaining public order, medical treatments and drinking water are provided outside the barracks.

There will be discussions with the police to plan ahead for this, while the army will be ready to provide military aid to rescue people when needed.
