Tampa, Fla. -- HealthCamp Florida announces its plans to hold  HealthCamp Florida, on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in collaboration with the Patel College of Global Sustainability at the University of South Florida.

Using an unconference format, the event is designed to showcase, discuss and promote the innovations that are transforming healthcare and will focus on technology, process and policy. The 2015 event returns to its previous format after its successful 2014 Quantified Tampa Bay event on wearables and Big Data. This year’s event will be more interactive and feature panels, speakers and timely topics to provide an abundance of content-rich sessions for the attendees.  HealthCamp speakers are passionate about innovation and topics are generally relevant, actionable and practical. The format encourages discussions and networking in a focused and accessible environment.

“This is the fifth year for a HealthCamp Florida event and will have a programmatic theme centered around global issues related to healthcare. The event will showcase multiple aspects of the healthcare industry and the innovations in healthcare people are creating in Florida,” says Brenda Young, Eexecutive Director, HealthCamp Florida and President, Marbay Group. “We expect to attract hundreds of attendees including executives, scientists, entrepreneurs, front-line healthcare workers and technologists across the spectrum of healthcare.”

The event brings together innovators across the healthcare industry to have meaningful, in-depth discussions that promote innovation both during and after the event.  Space throughout the event location is available to attendees to stop for spontaneous small group discussions. The HealthCamp environment also allows for impromptu sessions throughout the day to put together additional sessions inspired by the event’s topics. Registration starts at 7:30 AM with sessions starting at 9:00 AM and continuing until 3:00 PM and, ending with a wrap-up session from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

The event is designed for people who would not ordinarily meet to be able to find each other and engage in meaningful discussions, solve problems, learn about innovations, and develop new ideas and expand existing businesses. Attendees will be able to learn from innovators in healthcare and take back practical knowledge to use in their practices and communities.
