DriveSafe, Colorado’s largest driving school, is offering free online driver’s education to all Colorado teens in support of National Teen Driver Safety Week this October 16 through the 22.
“This year we are taking our support one step further by offering free online driver’s education through our State approved course, which is the only course in the state built by Colorado driving instructors. The course usually costs $99 but will be free the week of Oct 16 through the 22 to teens around the state,” said Ben Baron, founder and president of DriveSafe. “In addition to emphasizing teen driver safety, the free online program makes it convenient for students to work around their busy schedules and learn at their own pace.”
A highly interactive and in-depth driver’s education program, the DriveSafe online course covers concepts critical to becoming a safe driver. This includes driving in adverse conditions, the impact of alcohol on driving, distractions while driving and defensive driving skills. “Our mission is to equip teen drivers and their parents with the tools that will not just teach how to drive but, more important, how to drive safe and be responsible drivers for the rest of their lives,” said Baron. “Research shows that horrific data and shocking ads are not effective in ‘scaring kids straight.’ We use a positive approach to teaching students about the lifetime benefits of being a responsible, safe driver.”
Under Colorado law, a student must be at least 14.5 to begin driver’s education training. The written permit test is included in this free offer and can be taken at any DriveSafe location in the Denver Metro area.
