With six games up and running, the Yumerium gaming platform just launched their first crypto game ‘Bit Kingdom’ Beta.
Yumerium is a blockchain-based gaming platform where players can earn tokens by sharing, reviewing, and playing. The newly launched game will showcase this fundamental mechanism of earning tokens by playing games.
Bit Kingdom is a casual medieval army management game. Players can purchase and trade mercenaries that are procedurally generated with various unique stats or send them to battle. Yumerium’s Chief Technology Officer Francisco Martin said, “Unlike other simulator games with mining theme in the market, it is abstracted with a medieval theme to invite players from a variety of range. Instead of buying mining machines, players can buy mercenaries to go into battle and collect loot”.
Players can also play a simple elemental battle game with timing-matters design instead of just simply tapping the screen. After collecting a number of coins and victory tickets in the game, players can either invest in more mercenaries or exchange for YUM tokens.
Through the smart contract that is already built on the ‘Store’ page, users can simply download Bit Kingdom, as well as other games, and play to get tokens on the website using blockchain technology.
The platform has quickly become one of the most popular gaming services, with more than 40,000 visitors after its launch in May 2018. According to Yumerium CEO Jikhan Jung, the team plans to partner with more popular crypto games that will also launch on their platform. He added that, “the Yumerium token will be more valuable based on its increased use and concrete user base.”
The company has also signed a partnership with Payletter Inc., which provides online billing and payment services to clients of successful games such as League of Legends. With this partnership, Yumerium tokens can be added to the in-game payment option after discussion with the game companies.
Along with the Bit Kingdom release, Yumerium token sale is currently running at yumerium.com. Funds collected through the sale will be used to bring high-quality games and build a strategic partnership with developers.
