On Thursday, October 7, Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library will be hosting a virtual Zoom event focused specifically on college essay writing.
"The College Admissions Essay: Telling Your Story, Your Truth," will be brought to you by Lyn Fairchild Hawks. She is the owner of Success Story Essay Consulting, is a Stanford graduate, English teacher, and an award-winning young adult fiction author who helps students harness powerful storytelling strategies to deliver a standout essay.
Attendees will be able to ask questions, share ideas and brainstorm during this program. A drawing will be completed at the end of the program for one-on-one work with Lyn for a student's college essay.
