Mr. Ayers was born in Buchanan, Georgia on March 9, 1938, son of the late Tommy Ayers and Ruth Fortune Ayers. He was a self-employed electrician and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Ayers; sons, Dennis Ayers and Danny Ayers; grandson, Quinton Ayers, and a sister, Ann Taterow.
Mr. Ayers will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
