Congress flags economic crisis, security situation, assault on institutions in resolutions passed at CWC meet - National Herald

The Congress called upon all democratic parties and forces to join hands to resolutely oppose the Modi government to protect the values on which country was founded
Attacking the Modi government for “unleashing violence on protesting farmers”, carrying out “state-sponsored attacks” on minority communities, and “assaults on democratic institutions of the country”, the Congress party on Saturday urged all democratic parties to join hands to defend the values on which country was founded.
The grand old party passed seven resolutions during the five-hour-long Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting held on Saturday, highlighting the failures of the Modi government.
1. Resolution on Lakhimpur Kheri violence:
Pointing out that the silence maintained by PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah over the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, in which four farmers were mowed down by a vehicle allegedly being driven by BJP minister Ajay Mishra’s son, has shocked the nation, the Congress party resolution said, “The tragic incident at Lakhimpur Kheri is a clear example of official support to the attempt to suppress the voice of the farmers. The refusal of the Prime Minister to condemn the brutal murder of the farmers and to sack the Minister of State for Home Affairs has shocked the conscience of the country.”
2. Resolution on Chinese incursion in Ladakh:
