Microsoft surprised everyone by releasing Halo Infinite multiplayer three weeks early. Everyone wants to jump right in and play with their buddies, but there are a few things you should know before getting started with Halo Infinite multiplayer. If you were able to play any of the pre-launch flights or technical previews, you should have a good idea of what to expect. Halo Infinite is completely free to play and enables cross-platform play, but connecting with friends on other platforms can be difficult. How to Play With Friends in Halo Infinite
From the main menu, hit the Tab key or the View button to open the Social menu, where you can invite your friends. You may look at your current Fireteam here, or go to the Buddies page to see a list of all of your Xbox Live friends.
Halo Infinite Crossplay Details
Full cross-play is supported in Halo Infinite, so you may play with your buddies on both Xbox and PC. If you’re looking for friends on other platforms, such as Steam, you can utilize the Find Friends option in the Social menu to search for any of your friends who have Steam or Discord accounts linked to them. Because Halo Infinite needs you to join in with an Xbox Live account in order to play, you should be able to find all of your friends this way.
