The cast of the “Harry Potter” movies are reuniting for the franchise’s 20th anniversary early next year, without a notable addition.

The retrospective, "Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts,” will include cast members Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Gary Oldman, and other alumni across all eight “Harry Potter” movies, according to a news release.

The film will “tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations,” WarnerMedia, which owns the movie franchise, said. It will be released Jan. 1 on the streaming service HBO Max, and will premiere on TBS and Cartoon Network in the spring.

But while the author J.K. Rowling, who created the “Harry Potter” universe in 1997 with her debut novel, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,” will be featured in archival footage, she will not join the cast for the special, NPR reported.
