Many of the world’s top websites do not provide the ideal user experience (UX) by Google’s standards, even though their performance has been steadily improving. According to Searchmetrics, this is due to digital marketing analytics service providers.

The research firm recently evaluated the top 100 most prominent websites on Google.com and found that, by Google’s standards, 50% don’t provide a good desktop experience, while 44% fail to do so on mobile devices. The Google Core Web Vitals are the corporation’s yardstick.

It’s a newer set of metrics that Google created earlier this year with which it assesses other websites’ user experience and has an immediate influence on SEO. To show search engine results pages with websites with the best UX first, Google wants its search engine results pages to display websites with the best UX first.

The aim of the new real-time dimensions is to get webmasters to clean up their user experience (UX) or else risk getting demoted on search engine results pages. The question remains: How much can Google really harm the biggest digital enterprises, and will these changes only impact small businesses?
